I’m Brandie, Boston born and raised! After living in the District of Columbia for 5 years I began the process of re-acquainting myself with  Boston as a buppie. Here in Boston our biggest east coast rival is naturally NY. Every corner vendor sells bags, hats, t-shirts with the signature I love New York. Well– I love Boston and my  hopes are to aid you in your discovery of this city, including the best places to brunch, shopping, boutiques, buying Black, and most importantly #themove. For all of these things, you’ve come to the right place to guide you through your Boston experience and everything that encompasses what it means to be a |BlackBostonian|. Until next post.

I’m Imani, a screenwriter living in Boston. But I wasn’t always. I was born and raised in Kingston, Jamaica, moving to Orlando, Florida when I was 15 years old. After acquiring a Bachelor’s Degree at the University of Central Florida in English, Creative Writing, I went on to pursue a Master’s Degree at Boston University in Screenwriting. While attending BU, I unexpectedly fell in love with the north, more specifically, Boston. Though I regretted everything throughout the mere two winters I’ve experienced here, there was something about the bones and roots of the city that kept me peeking down every corner, and walking down every brick road. Naturally, I wanted to write about my exploration of this city, and that brought me to the Black Bostonian. Follow me as I take you through my view on the city, on the Boston lifestyle.
