The Black Bostonian has searched high and low for some of the perfect spots through out the city for urban professionals to gather. Whether it be for after work, first date meet up, or to watch the game, we have curated a list with only the best to meet your summer rooftop needs!

 

1.  Yotel

Location: Seaport

Highlight : Tasty Bar Bites

Con: Parking

One of the newest rooftop scenes of Boston located in the Seaport District. Yotel’s sky top lounge offers a small bar menu with fun cocktails. The modern set up allows flexibility for patrons to sit inside and outside with a glass view of the Seaport area. Occasionally Yotel will also feature a film on the outside bar where they play a variety of classics that range from Men in Black to Gone with the Wind.

2. Baseball Tavern

Location: Fenway

Highlight: Fun Baseball Themed

Con: Parking

This themed bar is located in the Fenway area and perfect for a night out just before the ball game! Tri-level game-day spot offers pub fare, beer & panoramic views from the roof deck.

 

3. Envoy Lookout

Location: Seaport

Highlight: Fun Cocktails

Con: No food on rooftop

The Envoy Lookout Hotel overlooks the harbor of the Seaport district and the open water that the Spirit of Boston sails. While the rooftop does not serve bar bites you can go down to the first floor for food.

 

4. Legal Harborside

Location: Seaport

Highlight: Perfect for Seafood

Con: Long Line

If you love seafood then this is the rooftop for you. Legal attracts  a vast crowd so on weekends this place gets pretty packed.

 

5. Colonnade

Location: Prudential

Highlight: Best rooftop Pool

Con: There is a cover

Located in Downtown Boston the Colonnade is  great after work spot on weekdays. It features a beautiful view of the Prudential area and has the top rated rooftop pool in Boston. Available to the public after 5pm on weekdays with  cover.

6. Coppersmith

Location: South Boston

Highlight: Delicious Bar Bites

Con: Parking is tough!

Perfect for after work, this roof deck in Southie has great bar bites. They also have plenty of space for large groups! A converted warehouse gives Copper smith an urban edge equipped with food trucks.

 

7. Daedalus

Location: Harvard Square

Highlight: Hightop tables

Con: Can be a little noisy

Daedalus offers cute high top tables that are shaded by the sun in the Harvard Square area of Cambridge. A former Greenhouse, Daedalus serves up American dining and fun cocktails! This is the perfect stopping ground after walking Harvard Yard or doing some shopping.

 

8. Market ( CLOSED)

Location: Financial District

Highlight: Three Floors with the top being the roof deck!

Con: Gets packed on Evenings

Market is perfect for a night out at a rooftop. They have a dj on the first floor with  large dancing space that plays top 40 hits. On the top floor is the rooftop that also has a bar. While the wooden floor feels it may give at any given move rest assure it is safe and attracts many for socializing!

 

9. Revere Rooftop

Location: Downtown Boston

Highlight: Perfect for large Groups

Con: The pool is semi-inside

A spacious rooftop, this spot is great for large parties. The crowd attracts a variety of goers with Sunday being one of the best days to go.

10. SIX WEST 

Location: South Boston (Broadway)

Highlight: Cocktails are served shaken, frozen, stirred and their rooftop comes with complete big deck energy!

Con: Parking, best suggestion is to uber or red line.

Six West is new to the scene but certainly true in ability to offer culinary offerings  sure to suit everyone in your crew. Plus the rooftop view offering as you are minutes to downtown, makes you consider booking your next staycation at Cambria Boston!
